Also not as spectacular as the Inverter but also still pretty cool. This little project enables me to control which of two phone lines is connected to my computer, fax, and the in-law house in the back. It also enables me to completely turn the phone system off to the in-law house. This is all controllable from my desk through this system. The picture on the left shows the phone line distribution punch block (left side of picture) and the actual control circuit (right side of picture). The picture on the right is the power supply for the control circuit. And of course, following is the documentation:
My Sump Water Level Detector

Still working on this one when I get time. I've been working on a circuit that will sound an alarm when ever the sump water rises to a high level due to the pump being inoperative. This has happened a couple times resulting in the basement flooding. Occasionally caused by a popped breaker but more often the float switch hangs up and doesn't turn the pump on. Will put it up as soon I come up with the final product. Have already played with a couple designs using a Sonalert but nothing finalized yet.
Still not a high priority but I did kinda start breadboarding something in my spare time.
