Early in 2008 Brian decided he was going into the Army. We are thrilled at his decision and fully support

His going in the Army. I have always felt there is no more noble a thing a person could do than serve their country.

We are very proud of our son and his decision to serve his country in the United States Army.

Brian reported to boot camp 21 January 2009 to start his military career.

20 Jan 2009. The moment of truth, signing his life over to Uncle Sam. Guy to the left of Brian is Sgt Muldivan, his recruiter. Great guy, I have a lot of admiration for this guy as he stuck with Brian through some trying times before getting signed up. This is the only picture I have of Brian in Boot Camp. He did Basic at Ft. Jackson South Carolina.. Brian earned a Marksmanship award in Boot. The day before graduation 02 Apr 09 was family day. Looks happy to be free.
Above 8 pictures were during Family day, the day before actual graduation. Brian was unable to leave the base so we spent the day on the base. One of the places we visited on the base was the museum. Also went to the PX. It was cloudy and rainy that day but I don't think anyone really cared.
Actual graduation day 03 April 09. This day was a beautiful sunny day. The companies first formed up on the far end of the field. Then they marched by company to form up in front of the stands. After all the formalities and awards each company paraded past the stands.
He's in there some where. After graduation ceremonies Brian was able to leave the base having to return at 2100. We went back to the hotel for a little bit.

Went out to eat for some big fat juicy steaks before he had to return to Uncle Sam's possession. While at the PX on Family Day Brian got Jaylan a little uniform. I like the second picture above, classic recruiting picture. From here Brian went to Maryland for Power Generator school.
